Raptor on the Street October

We’re starting a new segment! Per each issue we interview students on campus about pressing or not-so pressing issues. This issue’s question is: if you could create a class for next semester, what would it be?

Juliana, a film major, said, “If I were to take any class it would definitely be on navigating through emotions and helping me with my mental well being. It’s a lot going to school as a student and then having a whole life outside of this. So, just being able to have a class that helps you understand a lot of the stuff you feel.”

One student, Olivia, stated, “I would like to take a course analyzing the British rock scene of the post-Brexit era.”

Natalie explained, “I really wish we had more environmental science here. That was my other option for a major but I feel like there aren’t a lot of options. There’s a lot of sustainability courses I think but I wish there was more stuff about the environment.”

Zanib and Nisa, two nursing majors, said they would love a “Turkish foods class!”

Similarly, Abby replied that, “I would add culinary because I definitely need to learn how to cook.”

“I would say a stand-up comedy class,” another student, Jeffery, said. “Just because I feel like it would be a lot of fun and we could get some public speaking out of it.”
